Battle at Bristol

SITE MANAGEMENT
2D AND 3D DRAWINGS
RENDERINGS

Bristol Motor Speedway produced the largest football game in history pitting the University of Tennessee Volunteers against neighboring Virginia Tech Hokies.  We were contacted three years prior to produce renderings of what it would look like to place a football field in the middle of the Speedway as a means for presenting the concept to the two universities, the NCAA and ESPN.  We worked with the staff at BMS over the course of the project to determine site line concerns, and placement of all temporary structures and support equipment.  We also became the site managers for the "Tailgate Party" featuring Kenny Chesney the night before.  To accomplish this, we worked closely with Kenny Chesney's production team, personnel from staging provider Premier Global Productions, NCAA officials, ESPN, and the staff at BMS.  The biggest challenge was ensuring that the entire production was completely removed by noon the day after the concert to ensure ample time to complete set-up for the game that night.
